Note: Any hard drive with a warranty will work. I usually aim for 8TB+ because I don't want to fill all my bays with small drives. I found that ~$15/TB is the threshold for a good deal. Right now I don't have any data redundancy so I avoid refurbished drives. Once I have everything duped at least once I might consider it.

Note: This would allow streaming/recording of live TV. Since I don't have cable, this would just be broadcast.

Note: Graphics cards would allow for the server to do on-the-fly transcording for things like downshifting resolutions. Or adapting HDR to SDR. Any graphics card will work, but Intel has the best video processor and all the Intel cards have the same one so no need to get fancy. If someone wants the server to do AI stuff, stronger cards will be required.
